    Summary

    The purpose of the Selby Foundation is to improve the quality of life in Sarasota County and bordering counties in Florida. Grant making is focused on capital expenditures. Funds can be used for construction, acquisition and/or renovation of facilities; the purchase of equipment or software; and the costs of related technical services (legal, architectural, engineering, etc). Priority will be given to projects that focus on education, human services, arts and community projects including history, science, and/or the environment

    • Individuals;
    • Chambers of Commerce;
    • Private K-12 Schools;
    • Individual Public K-12 Schools, including Charter Schools and Booster Organizations;
    • Churches and their individual ministries; or
    • Individual Fire or Police Departments, including volunteer organizations

    • Eligibility Details

      Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are located within Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, or DeSoto counties in Florida.

      Deadline Details

      Applications must be electronically submitted online by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on February 1 and August 1, annually.

      Award Details

      Award amounts vary by proposal. Approximately 40 grants are made each year. Requests must be at least $10,000. The average grant is $50,000.
