    Since 1958, Foundation For The Carolinas has served as a catalyst for charitable good, connecting individuals, companies and organizations to needs and philanthropic opportunities across the region and beyond. A community foundation deeply dedicated to the collective strength of communities, FFTC works in close partnership with donors, civic leaders and nonprofits to help achieve a wide variety of charitable goals and to inspire philanthropy that will benefit generations to come. 

    The Foundation serves a number of individual, family and collective giving client programs whose boards and committees choose to make distributions through competitive grant programs in a variety of interest areas and geographic regions in our service area. These competitive grant programs vary in grant size, application process and funding priorities.


    History of Funding

    Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits, congregations, governmental and educational institutions located in the following counties: ‹
    • North Carolina  Cabarrus County, Cleveland County, Iredell County, Lincoln County, Lexington Area, Mecklenburg County, Richmond County, Salisbury, Stanly County and Union County.
    • South Carolina  Cherokee County, Lancaster County, and York County.
