Elizabeth Morse Genius Charitable Trust is a private foundation practicing values-based grantmaking. The application process at the Elizabeth Morse Genius Charitable Trust is rigorous, robust, and comprehensive and can last anywhere from six months to a year or more. Regardless of grant size, it may be necessary, upon request by the Trust, to submit revised application materials.
Eligible applicants are non profit organizations. The Trust's geographic focus is Chicago and Cook County, Illinois. If an organization is located outside of this area, the Trust will still consider an application if the organization provides services to a significant number of persons who are residents of Chicago and Cook County, Illinois.
Letters of inquiry are accepted throughout the year. The Trust generally reviews Letters of Inquiry within three months following the month in which the letter is received. Qualified applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
Award amounts vary.
