The Job Training Fund was created by the New Hampshire legislature in 2007. A total of $2 million in funding comes from the NH Unemployment Trust Fund, and is administered by the Department of Business and Economic Affairs. Designed to enhance occupational and transferable skills of New Hampshire's workforce, the Job Training Fund enables employers to tap new technologies, open new markets and increase efficiency with the value-added training of workers in all economic sectors of New Hampshire's economy.
The Job Training Fund is not intended for consulting work nor does it replace any existing training programs, or training required by state or federal law.
The Job Training Fund does not cover travel, lodging or costs of meals for either trainers or trainees.
