    Summary

    The Kronkosky Charitable Foundation was established by in January 7, 1991 as a distribution from the estate of Mr. Albert Kronkosky, Jr.


    The Foundation funds projects within the following areas of interest: 

    • Arts and Culture - The goals of the program are: 1) to foster meaningful cultural activities and broaden public participation therein; and 2) to expand or improve the public use of information and learning available through museums and libraries.
    • Health and Human Services - The goals of the program are: 1) to improve the quality of life for the elderly and those with disabilities by helping them to be healthy and productive members of the communities in which they live; 2) to develop character and self-reliance in young persons through organized activities founded on traditional values of respect and responsibility; 3) to free children from abuse and neglect; and 4) to improve the health of persons living in Bandera, Bexar, Comal and Kendall counties in Texas through selected medical research efforts.
    • Other Programs- Other program goals: (1)To expand or improve public parks, zoos, and wildlife sanctuaries and broaden the use of such facilities. (2) To prevent cruelty to animals. (3) To assist victims of public disasters in Texas.

    The Foundation strongly encourages collaborative efforts with accountability and evaluation responsibilities clearly defined among the collaborators.

    Additional Information

    The Foundation does not fund economic development, annual fund and fundraising event sponsorships (i.e. tables and teams), political or lobbying activities, or religious organizations for sectarian purposes.

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are 501(c)3 non-profit organizations operating in Bandera, Bexar, Comal, and Kendall counties in Texas.

    Deadline Details

    Letters of Inquiries are accepted on an ongoing basis. The Foundation reviews these requests at board meetings in March, June, September and December, annually.

    Award Details

    Individual award amounts generally range from $50,000 to $100,000.
