Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) Company
Summary
The Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) believes great communities are made through a combination of factors: great schools, effective social services, clean air and water, vibrant parks and recreation areas, active citizen involvement, and a spirit of local pride. ADM Cares supports these community elements through a social investment program that strives to make a positive difference in many of the communities where their 32,000 colleagues live and work.
Through targeted grants to causes and organizations that help advance the social, economic, educational, environmental and agricultural interests of cities and towns across the U.S. and around the world, ADM Cares is serving vital needs in their communities through three distinct focus areas:
Strong Roots
- ADM's Strong Roots partnerships help advance farm and plantation health & safety programs for children and workers; promote agricultural educational programming for children and young adults; encourage the responsible use of agricultural chemicals; endorse and advance sustainable farming practices, and promote the rehabilitation and preservation of environmentally sensitive lands.
Strong Bonds
- ADM Cares' Strong Bonds highlights ADM colleagues' contributions and efforts connected to social investing. ADM colleagues care about each other and the world around them. They have consistently demonstrated their care and concern by helping each other in times of need, donating money to non-profit institutions and volunteering time to worthy causes. Strong Bonds fosters this employee engagement and commitment by developing and funding programs focused on in-kind donations, matching gifts, volunteerism and disaster relief efforts.
Strong Communities
- ADM's Strong Communities utilize local managers and committees to work together to establish meaningful relationships with key, local partners. Support is provided for the following activities:
Educational grants on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Skilled Labor
Environment
Maintaining Vibrant Communities
