    The Chapman Trusts currently provide funding for general operations, projects and programs, capital needs (brick and mortar, equipment purchases, etc.), and organization capacity building. 


    Event sponsorships, endowment support, debt service, and requests to individuals are not eligible for funding.

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are U.S. nonprofit organizations. Most grants are given within Oklahoma and Colorado.

    Deadline Details

    The foundation's application process is as follows:

    1. First, applicants must determine eligibility by taking a short eligibility quiz on the foundation website.
    2. Second, if eligible, applicants may complete and submit the application.
    3. Third, the Foundation will review the submission and conduct due diligence on the organization. This process can take up to 45 days depending on volume. If the submission is not a match, the applicant will be informed via email. Otherwise, the application will be considered at the next appropriate board meeting. The deadline for an application to be considered at a board meeting is the 1st of the month prior to the meeting. Trustees currently have four regular meetings per year; January, April, July and October.

    Award Details

    Award amounts range from $1,000 to $10,000,000. Trustees take into consideration the size of your organization, the total budget for your project, and other potential sources of funding available for the project.
