    History of Funding

    The Samuel P. Hunt Foundation has funded 152 grants to 94 organizations totaling $2,713,024 over the past five years. Past awardees include: Bethlehem Redevelopment Association, Harbor Homes Inc, Nashua Center, Mount Vernon Library Charitable Foundation, Copper Cannon Camp, Families in Transition, Webster House, and Waypoint.

  • Eligibility Details

    Giving primarily is limited to non profit organizations in New Hampshire with Emphasis on Hillsborough County. No support for public schools. No grants to individuals; no loans.

    Deadline Details

    Applications are to be submitted by March 15 and September 15, annually. Initial approach should be with an application. Contact the foundation for a copy of the application form. Applicants should be prepared to submit the following:

    1. Copy of current year's organizational budget and/or project budget
    2. Copy of IRS Determination Letter
    3. Results expected from proposed grant
    4. How project will be sustained once grantmaker support is completed
    5. Detailed description of project and amount of funding requested

    Award Details

    Awards vary based on scope and size of project. Awards are up to $500,000. Most awards are between $10,000 and $25,000.
