CopyCat Grants are intended to help libraries easily implement tried-and tested-programs and extend the impact of previously funded, successful LSTA projects.

Libraries may apply to replicate one of the eight projects with toolkits available at: http://www.library.ca.gov/services/to-libraries/copycat-grants/.

    Project Toolkits:

    • 3D Design Coaching
    • Adult 101: Life Skills Bootcamp for Teens
    • Coding with the Robot
    • BIKE Kitchen
    • Creative Thursdays at the Walnut Creek Library
    • Learning2Go Literacy Kits
    • PACE (Project and Collaborative Education)
    • Pop-up MakerSpace

Applicants may also propose to copy another successful, replicable project that can be implemented within a nine-month period.

    Additional Information

Any project which you propose for funding, beyond the eight projects on this site, must have documentation that you can provide (with links and/or attached documents) that covers who conducted the project, how it was conducted and how it was successful. The project must also fit under California's current LSTA five-year plan and must be able to be completed within an eight-month period (January-August 2019). For any projects proposed that include computer equipment that can be used to connect to and browse the internet, the applicant library must certify compliance with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
