    The ALDI Smart Kids Program supports projects or programs to improve the health and wellness of children. Whether your mission is to support kids through education, arts, athletics/physical activity, nutrition, socializing, or any other program that inspires them to be active and healthy - ALDI is interested in supporting creative projects in the communities that they serve.

    ALDI does not support:

    • Individuals or families. We will not consider donation requests from individuals or families, i.e. for personal assistance, scholarships, stipends, grants, athletic sponsorships or other forms of individual or family support.
    • Political candidates, campaigns or organizations.
    • Religious activities, in whole or in part, for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine. Faith-based organizations must provide services to all community members regardless of denomination.
    • Research grants.
    • Individual, collegiate, Greek organizations or fraternity-sorority-related events or fundraisers.
    • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or disability.

  • Eligibility Details

    501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Public funded service agency, such as police or fire. Public or private K-12 school. Faith-based organizations that benefit children in the community.


    Applicants must be local organizations in "ALDI communities" where there are stores, warehouses, offices and/or otherwise conduct business. See the Division Locator site to check for ALDI facilities in your area: https://www.aldi.us/stores/?notemplate=true&Mode=SmartKids

    Deadline Details

    Requests should be submitted four weeks prior to the date contribution or donation is needed. Applications for support from the ALDI Smart Kids program are accepted between February 1 – December 15 each year.

    Award Details

    Awards range from $100 to $5,000. This can be granted in cash or a gift card to ALDI stores.
