    Summary

The State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) provides funding to eligible state, local, and territorial (SLT) governments to manage and reduce systemic cyber risk, thus improving the security of critical infrastructure and improving the resilience of the services SLT governments provide their community.

For FY 2025–26, Florida's SLCGP priorities are:

    • Critical Infrastructure (CI): Cybersecurity hardening projects for systems such as supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), industrial control systems, operational technology, and associated IT infrastructure.
    • Law Enforcement: Cybersecurity risk mitigation initiatives for local law enforcement agencies.
    • Rural Areas: Due to the federal funding requirements of the grant, projects in rural areas will be prioritized. Rural areas are defined in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) as regions with fewer than 50,000 residents.

These funds are non-recurring and are intended to enhance existing cybersecurity programs or support the establishment of foundational capabilities.

    History of Funding

For FY24, the State of Florida was allocated $8,620,815 million.
