The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) County Grant program provides emergency medical services providers, first responder organizations, and other emergency medical service related organizations with funds for projects to acquire, repair, improve, or upgrade emergency medical services systems, or equipment.
Once the Board of County Commissioners receives funds, they will have the authority to distribute the funds as they see fit to improve and enhance prehospital care in their jurisdiction.
Please note:
FY 2024-25: Counties will not be required to submit quarterly and final reports to the Department regarding EMS county funds received through this process. Record-keeping for these funds will be solely the responsibility of the recipient.
FY 2023-24: Counties are still required to submit quarterly and final reports on funds received in earlier funding cycles and must expend all funds from those awards prior to the end of their current Memorandum of Agreement.
Additional funding is available in the form of a matching grant. For more information, contact the FL Department of Health at (850) 245-4440.
